I am suddenly experiencing the following error:

"Image uploader encountered some problem"

using v3.5 (also on v3.0)

What can I do to debug this and work out the problem. I have tried uploading a small (1kb) file but still the same error.

Hi guys

Any idea what is causing this? Ive been holding off paying the rest of our license fee as if we cant sort this out i dont really want to shell out for something that is causing an error?

Hello,

I am sorry for delay. This problem has place as Image Uploader starting from version 3.5 has about 2 months trial period limitation. In fact the error "Image uploader encountered some problem" is a bit confusing and say nothing about it. We are working over it.

There are following solutions:

1. Wait a few days for release which will fix this problem.

2. Submit case for obtaining special evaluation key for www.skidle.com.

3.Remove from Windows registry HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Aurigma\ImageUploader3 key.

And sure if you will purchase license, the problem will be solved automatically.

I just want to add, that when I tested your page from my laptop, the upload worked perfectly. You can check my photos in the bottom of page. :)

Thanks

Glad to know it works for some! We've been testing it over the last week or so, but found approximately 80% of people are getting to the image uploader page and then abandoning it. After some questions, we found lots of people thought it was broken because it takes so long to appear the first time (before the page even loads). Is there anyway we could make this faster?

On broadband the page takes about 10-20 seconds to appear.

This problem was already discussed that initial Image Uploader downloading + installation can take up to 2 minutes. I think the best solution here is just warn use about possible delay.

And also, you should warn users about ActiveX control on page, in order they trust it during installation security dialog.

Have a look at http://www.skiddle.com/gallery/addalbum.php (put anything in)

what do you think of the instructions? Hopefully they will make it a bit clearer?
