After I upgraded our webbaplication from asp.net 2.0 to asp.net 4.0 Graphics Mill 5.5 does not work anymore. At each attempt to use Graphics Mill I get the following error:
[NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.]

I have reinstalled Graphics Mill and the license key is registered manually with "Aurigma License Key Registration Wizard". I have also tried to put a lic-file, named Aurigma.GraphicsMill.lic containing the license key, in the /bin directory with no success.
The asp.net 2.0 version of the application on the same server still works fine.

Hello Martin, 1. I would like to recommend you to upgrade your version of Graphics Mill to the last one (5.5.6) which is available to download from our site. 2. As for your current problem. Please follow the instructions in PRB: Embed full license key into the resources with .NET 4.0 topic to resolve it. Please let me know about your results after performing it. |

I tried solution #2 and now I get the error:
Exception occurred creating type 'Aurigma.GraphicsMill.Bitmap, Aurigma.GraphicsMill, Version=5.1.276.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=af7154c50c505858' System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
when I build.
I am using .NET 4.0 in VS 2010.

Hi, The way 2 is for Graphics Mill 5.5.X. As far as I understand you use GM 5.1. In this case, please update to the version 5.5.6. |
