Hello,

We have an image (see attached) drawn on multilayerviewer.
When the zoom is set as 50%, it have problem in drawing on the left area of the multilayerviwer content (namely location.x is a small value). But when location.x is getting larger, only partial image is drawn until there is no visible image drawn when location.x is at far right of multilayerviewer content area. Only an emply rectangle is drawn in the later case. But when this empty rectangle is resized a little, the image is visible.

There is no problem in other zoom mode such as 100% no matter where the image is drawn on the multilayerviewer content area. but it seems that as zoom scale get smaller, the issue get more obvious.

Hello Ming,

Sorry for the delay.

Could you please share your complete sample application or just code snippet so that I will be able to reproduce the problem locally.
Best regards,

Hello, Dmitry,

I have attached a small sample code for you to look at.

1. There are two images to do compare: test_item_two and test_item_one. It seems that test_item_one has issue on those zoom: 20%, 75%, best fit and fit to height. But test_item_two is ok.

a. for zoom 20% and 75%, this image are unvisible when dragdropped on the right side of multilayerviewer

b. for best fit, fit to height, the image are different when dragdropped on the left side and right side of multilayerviewer.

Thanks.

Hello Ming,

Thank you for your sample.

I tested it to try reproducing the problems you described. However, I could not replicate them. I did not note any problems with drug’n’drop functionalities while different zoom modes for multilayer viewer were set.

Hello, Dmitry

Did you use our sample to reproduce the issue?

Then try this:
I.
1. set zoom = 100 %
2. drag and drop test_item_0 under test 1 to the left side of multilayerviewer (location.x = 0)
3. drag and drop test_item_0 under test 1 to the right side of mutillayerviewer (location.x is a large number)
now there should be two test_item_0 on the multilayerviewer : one is on the left side and another is on far right side. Both of them are visible and good.
4. change zoom = 25%, the multilayerviewer should be reduced size but only test_item_0 on the left is visible. The one on the right side is invisible now.

II. if zoom is set to 25%, test_item_0 is invisible when it is dropped on the right side of multilayerviewer.

Hello Ming,

Unfortunately, I still cannot reproduce your problem. I followed the instructions you listed, and my result is not the same as you did. I attached my screens shots to confirm that. Please look at them.

Hello, Dmitry,
Thank you for taking time to look at this.
Glad that you do not see the issue at your side and wish that this also happens at our side.

Wonder if this is the issue at our side only.

Some questions:
1. did you run our sample after opening the sample project and rebuilding the project or did you run testZoom.exe in bin/debug folder which we built without rebuilding it?
2. As you can see in our sample folder, we use GraphicsMill version 5.1.3322.25605 created on 2/4/2009

Hello, Dmitry,

Further comparsion with your screen shot and our screen shot ( zoom = 25%), we do notice a little difference:

Yours show the shadow ( blue color) on all four sides.
But ours only shows the shadow on left and top sides. Wonder why it is so for ours and whether it is the reason to cause the issue.
Thanks.

Hello, Dmitry,

It is nice to speak with you on the phone.

Yeah, it seems that the version might be the issue here: you use Graphics Mill 5.5 but we use Version 5.1. We are a kind of behind.

We downloaded the evaluation version of Graphics Mill 5.5 in attempt to confirm this analysis.
But the license for our evaluation version has expired. How and where can we get an update evalutation license for our downloaded evaluation Graphics Mill 5.5 ?

Thank you.

Hello, Dmitry,

It seems that it is true that Graphics Mill version is cause of the issue.
Using Graphics Mill evaluation version 5.5, we have the same result as yours. And the images are good both at the left side and right side of multilayerviewer.

Hello Ming,

I am glad that your problem has been resolved. Sorry that it was not done earlier.
You mentioned about evaluation key expiration. Please clarify whether you need to get new key for GM 5.5?
Best regards,

Hello, Dmitry

We downloaded the evaluation version 5.5.
GraphicsMill55dotNET and installed. We tested and it is good.

Do you have GraphicsMill55dotNETFull which may have control source code? We are interested in how version 5.5 fixed the zoom issue of version 5.1 as part of our application are directly from control source code of GraphicMill51dotNETFULL. The built version GraphicsMill55dotNET does not actually fix the issue in our application although it is obvious that 5.5 has fixed the zoom issue. Without knowing how this issue is fixed in control source code, the issue exists as it is in our application as our application is based on control source code of Graphic Mill 5.1.
Thanks.

Hello Ming,

Unfortunately, we are not able to provide you with source code of GM 5.5. I recommend you to use this version of Graphics Mill in your project instead of 5.1. You can use replace assemblies of 5.1 with new ones of 5.5 without any problems.
Version 5.5.6 is more stable and free of many issues. You can download it from our site: Graphics Mill 5.5.6

Hello, Dimtry,

Does Aurigma have a plan of a full release in the future which may include some update controls
source code, something similar as GraphicMill51dotNETFULL?

Thank you.

Probably, there is some misunderstanding. Could you please explain why you need source code of the control?
