Hi

i have a very strange issue on some of the computers that use the component.
as the user finishes to use the component he clicks a button to save the work as an image.
this worked great until 3 days ago.
now only on some of the computers (not browser related but computer related),
the image is saved without a loaded background, also on a computer that it used to work until a few days ago.
the only thing i can think of is either a local cache problem or a slow connection.

any ideas on what i should check?
a server restart did not help.

Hello Ido,

As far as I remember, you use AJAX vector object. Could you please provide me with a link to your site (login/password if any) where this problem occurs? Also, please let me know what types of files your users use as a background.

The problem could be caused by one of these reasons. Please ask your users to clear the browser cache.
Then please let me know about the results.

Sure

this is the link:
https://happycake.co.il/
it's in Hebrew so I'll walk you through it:
in the home page, click the pink button on the right.

in the editor window, you can choose with the bars on the right to add a picture, text and icons,

after you are done click on the right button from the 2 on the bottom left,
it will take you to the checkout screen. there already half of the users see the image without the background image they uploaded.
they are uploading regular jpg's downloaded form their cameras.

no user or password are needed up to there.

the strange thing is it happens only on some of the computers not all of them.
thanks
Ido

Hello Ido,

Thanks for the link.

I tried to reproduce this problem. However, it worked okay.
Could you please provide me with a server code, which allows render prepared images? Also, I recommend you to decrease size of rendered images (e.g. 40x40), and set .jpg, but not .png as you use now.
It would be great if you send me samples of user images, and rendered images, which do not have user background.
Best regards,

that's part of the problem:
i went to the person with the problem, with my laptop it was working, and on his it wasn't.
i tried both on FF and IE, on both computers.
i changed the saved file type from PNG to JPG -didn't help.
this is the code i use to save the files:

when you are talking about the rendered images - are you talking about the small icons?

and even more strange - it was working - no change was done and it stopped, for some.

Yes, I talked about small icons. According to inspecting elements, it has big size (about 1000x1000).
Could you please provide me with provide me with a user picture? I will test it on your site.

it happens with any image, also the sample images that come with windows.
that to get it clear - when i talk about the small icons i talk about the icons you drag to add to the design.
just checked them on the server and most of them are less then 300px in size.
the biggest ones are 400*400.
does the code enlarge them ?
i set them to display as 100*100 iirc.
where do i set their size?

i did a test also on my test server and it's happening there too.

which remote software do you prefer?
i usually use logMeIn by hamatchi' but any you like is OK.
let me know

one more thing:
i found out (again) the problem with the icons disappearing:
when icons are touching the edge of the work area only one is saved though all are showing while working.
i opened a bug on this I'm not sure i remember if it was fixed?

OK, this seems to be the problem

if you don't put the icons touching the border all works well.

so, was this bug fixed?

Hello Ido,

Sorry for the delay and inconvenience.

We reproduced your problem. The problem is related to putting images to the border, as you mentioned above.

Our engineer fixed it. I attached fixed DLLs files to this post. Please download the archive, unpack it, and replace your DLLs with the new ones. Then please let me know about your result.
File Attachment(s):
GraphicsMill.zip (2,155kb) downloaded 3 time(s).
