If the user does not (or cannot) install the ActiveX control in IE, or the Java Applet in other browsers, I need to give an option to use a simpler upload control. I can do this myself and simply have a different option, but it would be great to integrate this into the Image Uploader somehow. Can that be done. Sample?

Or is there a way to detect if the ActiveX or Java code is not available, and simply swap the user to a different control? Here I am just asking about the part of how to detect these not being available.

Hello,

How to handle this situation you can read here:

HOWTO: Allow Standard Form Upload if Image Uploader is Unable to be Installed

I hope it helps you.
