Hi,

I am trying to build a thumbnail viewer, but the performance is horrible for directories with large amounts of images that do not have EXIF data. These images are very large too. Do you have any suggestions on improving the performance?

Thanks!

Hello,

Could you provide us with some additional info - dimensions, pixel formats and file formats of your images? Maybe the speed issue is specific for some image types or something else. I have tried to open folder with 160 images, 24bppRGB, 3000x2691 pixels each - the control works with acceptable speed (especially taking into account that it is 1.7 Gb of data that should be read from HDD). Windows Explorer spends approximately the same time to display them.
