We're finding that sometimes when people upload images, the icon that appears before the preview image is loaded, is what gets uploaded to the server. Help?

I'm not sure which version of the applet it is -- it's whatever was available for download from your site two weeks ago. It's the java version. It happened in Internet Explorer 6.0.
From what we could tell, it happens if you select the photos for upload (this is in the 3 pane version), and then click upload immediately, before the thumbnails in the pane have a chance to update themselves.

I'm afraid that I can't send you a link to the uploader -- it's in a members-only area.

Bob, Please send us the images on which you could simulate the problem. Also please check in java console the version of Image Uploader you use. Edited by user Monday, October 27, 2008 11:10:09 PM(UTC)

Several of my customers are also seeing this issue, but I have not been able to recreate it. It has happened on both the IE 6 and java clients.
I can send you an image, but the attachment feature is limited to 2.0MB and the image is 2.8MB.

We've been able to duplicate it by selecting the images for upload, and VERY quickly pressing the upload button. You have to be pretty darn fast (or have a very slow computer that takes forever to load the thumbnails) to do it, though.

Hello Greg,
We have some messages about the same problem. We have tired to reproduce it but always failed. The generation of upload thumbnails does not depend on preview thumbnails creation status because they are created but not copied from the preview thumbnails. Any way we need the problem images and detailed description of actions to reproduce the bug. |

I know I'm reopening an old thread, but we just encountered this same problem with one of our users. We use the uploader to generate three thumbnails and send those and the original image to our server.
We had an instance where a user uploaded about 60 photos, and the thumbnails came up fine for all images, but for the first 40 or 50 images, an icon was uploaded instead of the full-sized image.

Hello, Does this problem occur with the Java version of Image Uploader? If so please send us the Java Console dump of the problem. Edited by user Monday, October 27, 2008 11:40:13 PM(UTC)
