Hi,

I purchased the Profesional Server License and I am confused about the activation process. I assumed I would activate the license on my development machine and deploy it to the server.

I am being told by Svetlana and others in support that I need to purchase a second license to develop on my development machine. This cant be correct so please help me understand the process of licensing, developing, and deploying a server application.

Hello Gary,

What Svetlana told you is correct. This is how our licensing works.

More over in her email to you from 08/12/2022 she warned you in order to exclude misunderstanding:

Building a web application requires for two licenses - Developer (desktop) and Server licenses.

And she repeated this in email from 08/15/2022.

That was before purchasing.

And I told you in your case: The Server license should be used on your production server. For developing purposes you should use Developer license.

Nowhere in my thread did I say I was building a desktop application. No a development environment and a desktop application are not the same things.
