Hi,

We are working in a project that uses a licensed version of Aurigma Graphics Mill 3.5 for .NET 1.1.
When trying to load a tiff image (using the constructor that receives the filename) we are facing the following error message:

"Attempted to read or write protected memory. This is often an indication that other memory is corrupt".

The problem can be seen when using de MainCS application demo provided along the downloaded version as well.
Reducing the resolution to 150 pixels/inches the image can be opened after a few seconds.
We have already tried this in four different computers and the problem persists. When trying to open it with Adobe Photoshop, everything works fine.

This image was sent to [email removed] in october 6 but until now we haven´t had any answare. I´m sending it again to [email removed] and to [email removed].

Thanks.

Hello,

I have sent reply to your email - probably it is communication problems. Sorry for this.

You try to load TIFF file 4961x9921 CMYK with alpha. This image requires more than 250mb in memory. Unfortunately, Graphics Mill for .NET doesn't handle images of such size because of it requires tile technology as it is used in Photoshop.
Sincerely yours,
Dmitry Sevostyanov

Hello,

The maximum image size which can be processed by Graphics Mill for .NET depends on different conditions: pixel format of image, operation system, available memory in system and so on. Graphics Mill for .NET tries to allocate memory for image pixel data, if the system has no memory area of appropriate size, it fails.
Sincerely yours,
Dmitry Sevostyanov
