What is the trick to getting the 64 bit assemblies into the toolbox in VS 2008?
I installed the assemblies but it did not put the items in the GAC so that I can see them in the toolbox.
Any ideas?

Thanks

Chris

Hello Chris,

If you mean AjaxControls there is a point here. Visual Studio supports development of 32bit web applications only. If you want to post your site to 64bit IIS, the workflow is the following. You prepare 32bit version of your site, develop and debug it with 32bit controls under Visual Studio. After you finish and ready to post it to your 64bit server, you need to replace 32bit assemblies with 64bit ones and post them.
Sincerely yours,
Dmitry Sevostyanov
