Hi,

Actually I am using the evaluation version of Image Uploaded to do web development. But today when I tried to upload images, I get the message: Expired, and contact the web master.

So I try to extend the evaluation period by following every step in
HOWTO: Prolong Image Uploader evaluation period

Unfortunately the reinstallation of new Image Uploader, I got an error message regarding file in Cold Fusion, so I clicked "ignored" as I don't do coldfusion programming. (This error msg pop up even though i tried on different hard drive)

After the installation, I still got the error message regarding the expired evaluation period.

Pls help.
Thanks

I m not sure if this causes the problem:
Previously I installed Image Uploaded to Drive F: . But the harddisk is damaged (due to other reason). So I installed latest Image Uploader on different harddisk, Drive K:. Since then I got the expired message popping out each time i upload image.

I have done all the steps in the article mentioned.

Anyway, even without the change of harddrive, the evaluation copy should have expired also. So I am not sure if the problem is caused by changed of harddrive, or It is expired by its nature, but some bug prevent it to extent the license period.

Thanks Alex, I've got your private msg.

However, I manage to get it up and running now :)

I summarized what i've overlook some step:
1. I didn't change the in my asp page.
Previously, I installed the eval copy in c:\ASP and point the IIS to that particular folder. Then after expired, I installed a new copy of it in f: drive. But the problem was, the IIS still pointing the c folder.

I did click the "prolong eval" register file and also remove the object manually using "Internet Options". Though it ask for new installation for the activex component, it still use the old one.

It seems like, the new "ImageUploader3.cab" must be reside in the same folder.

Then I point IIS to the new installation folder, the problem solved.
