Hi,
We have three touchsmart PCs running Photo Kiosk 7. In the last couple of weeks they have stopped reading JPG files on a variety of USB thumb drives inserted in any available USB ports.

A quick look at the drives using Explorer shows the files are clearly there and are opening fine in other programs yet Photo Kiosk keeps saying "No Photos Found".

JPG files on other media (ie SD and CDROM disks) are still working fine.

Any ideas where we should start looking to troubleshoot this problem?

Check out whether the drive letter of the USB drive is still the same as you have specified in the Photokiosk settings. For example, if you have specified E:\, but for some reason the USB drive is opened as F:\, it won't find anything.

Hope this helps.

Ok I think I've figured it out using Andrew's tip.

It appears that Windows 7 has suddenly decided to list certain USB drives as hard disks instead of removable media, so Photo Kiosk was no longer seeing them.

So instead I took a note of what drive letters windows was assigning the USB drives and manually entered them into the paths via the configuration window alongside the existing drive paths of our card readers and optical drives.

Everything seems to be working now. Thanks to Andrew for pointing me in the right direction :)
