It seems that v1.1 of the uploader for Java has broken the Action url support.

In the previous version, I was able to run the development copy of a site on a non-standard port (1109), and in the Action parameter I defined the page as just "add_photo_upload.aspx". This worked fine.

Upon upgrading to v1.1 I now get a 404 error in the debug window from the applet. After some trial and error to determine the cause, I place a dummy directory and file in the default website (port 80) that threw a 500 error intentionally, and now in the debug window from the applet I'm getting that test page which throws the 500 error with my custom message.

So I assumed that in order to support a non standard port I needed to specify a fully qualified url (FQU) for the Action parameter. And no matter what port number I use, it still goes to the default website. If I change the hostname in the FQU it listens to that and tells me I'm using a trial version. If I change the path or filename, it listens to that and gives the appropriate response. If I specify a port number, It will just continue connecting to port 80.

Regards

Matt

Hello Matt,
