Hi,

I had switched my code over to always use the Java Uploader. I had initially been testing with the ActiveX uploader. I just noticed that there does not seem to be an option to view the files as thumbnails when selecting them (I am using the OnePane pane layout and calling the addFiles() method). Is this a configuration somewhere? If not, are there plans to add a thumbnail view option during selection sometime in the near future?

Thanks,

Mike

Hi Mike,

Try this property:

http://www.aurigma.com/docs/us8/JA_P_J_$au_uploadPane_viewMode.htm

Please let me know if it still does not work. In this case please post your code snippet with the uploader settings.

The viewMode thing works fine within the uploadpane. My issue is that when I select the files using addFiles() I can only view them as a list or details (there is no thumbnail option within that popup selection dialog). Once they are selected and loaded into the uploadpane I can see them as thumbnails.

Thanks,

Mike

Hi Mike,

This Open File Dialog is the standard Java dialog. Not sure if we can modify it.

However you can try to emulate the Open File Dialog by opening the uploader in two pane view in a popup or lightbox. I will require some additional JavaScript coding (hide the applet and display a custom progress bar, etc), but you may find it more user-friendly.

By the way, it will solve your problem with the menu and Java applet you mentioned in another post (because your menu won't overlap any applets in this case).

Hope this makes sense.
