We are experiencing problems after updating to the latest binaries (with the new certificates).

We were running Image Uploader 6.5.6 and after updating the binaries only (using the updated files from 6.5.19), we encountered a problem during file upload, which stated:

Quote:
Image Uploader encountered some problem. If you see this problem, contact web master."

So we upgraded the whole Image Uploader to 6.5.19 (including changing the JS to assign iu.javaAppletVersion = "6.5.19.0";) but continued to see the same error as above (on Windows only, never on Mac OSX).

Looking at the Java Console, we see the following error:

Quote:
javax.net.ssl.SSLHandshakeException: java.security.cert.CertificateException: Certificates does not conform to algorithm constraints

Any pointers on what is causing this certificate exception?

Hello,

Could you please provide me with a direct link to the page with Image Uploader (login/password if any)? If you cannot post the credentials here, please submit a new support ticket.

So far what we have discovered is that the applet fails with the SSL message ONLY on JDK 1.7+ version browsers.

It works fine with JDK 1.6 on Mac or PC.

Based on google search, found https://forums.oracle.co....jspa?messageID=10413489 which explains that MD2 form of encryption is disabled in newer java plugins. Does this new certificate confirm to MD5 algorithms?

Hi Sandra,

I have asked this information:

Unfortunately I could not replicate the problem in our testing lab. I have run Image Uploader signed by the new certificate in FF 14.0.1 with Java 1.7.0_5.

Please sned me these details:

-version of Windows.

-exact version number of Firefox.

-exact version number of Java machine.

-clarify whether the problem occurs in Chrome?

-a direct page to Image Uploader where you experience the problem (with login/password).

However, the client has not answered yet.

Best regards,
