Hi everyone,

We have released an update of our charting .NET component FlashChart. The main improvement is that we have overcome a limitation on the number of layers in the result flash movie (which limited a number of chart elements by 50 or so). Also we have added some other features. Here is a change log:
  • Subheading. Now you can add an extra caption under the main heading of the chart which is called subheading.
  • Axis labels. This version enables you to specify a caption (headings) both for horizontal and vertical axes.
  • Legend heading. Also you can add a heading to the legend box.
  • Custom range for axes. Previous version of the FlashChart calculated what minimum and maximum values to display automatically. Now you can specify your own values (including negative). If actual chart data will exceed the specified range, it will be stretched.
  • DateTime data support. Now the chart elements can represent not only numeric values, but also DateTime too.
  • Updated licensing mechanism. Now you need not reinstall the FlashChart upon purchase. We will send a license key which will remove all the evaluation version limitations.
  • Unicode characters support. FlashChart 2.0 supports non-English characters including symbols from Unicode languages, such as Chinese, Japanese, Korean, etc.
  • Fixed bugs. The main improvement there is that the layers number limitation (maximum 256 layers per movie) has been overcome. It caused FlashChart to fail when chart contained too many elements. Now you can create charts with any reasonable number of series and categories.
All customers of previous versions of FlashChart can get free update. If you are interested, please contact us to sales@aurigma.com.
