Hi

On our site, using aurigma uploader, we only allow jpeg files to be uploaded. Some of our customers get clever, and change the extension of png images to jpg. This does not turn the image into a valid jpg-file, but it will still be uploaded. I know it's possible to validate this after the image have been uploaded, but would it also be possible to validate mime-type in the uploader?

Thanks.

Hello,

If you mean Image Uploader (Java/ActiveX). It has format() property. However, it works for Image Uploader ActiveX only, i.e. in Internet Explorer. Image Uploader Java does not support this feature.

Image Uploader Flash does not have format() property. Unfortunately, there is no way to check mime-type of files.
