Image Uploader 7 applet flickers in OSX 10.6.8/Chrome 13

while evaluating IU7, we've found that the applet flickers a lot in OSX 10.6.8/Chrome 13, when rolling over images in the Pictures pane. Literally, throughout the entire usage there is a flicker which seems related to mouse movement over images.

The flicker happens without any scrolling, be it in the page, in the applet or the active pane. Any ideas? Is this common?

I checked in Safari 5.0.5, and, although it flickered there, too, it was much less severe, I'd say an acceptable level of disturbance at around the time shorty after it first loads.

Firefox 4.0 on the same machine doesn't load the applet at all, but let's keep that aside (unless you're telling me there's a known bug here), it's only a prototype implementation.

As said, let's ignore FF4 for now, until we've gone beyond the proof-of-concept phase.
