In reviewing our log files I am noticing that several times a day some of our users are getting 404- Page not found errors when using Image Uploader.

The files they can't find are:

cabs/v5/META-INF/services/javax.imageio.spi.ImageWriterSpi

and:

cabs/v5/com/sun/imageio/plugins/bmp/BMPMetadata.class

Neither of these files exists on these folders. Most of our customers use Image Uploader succesfully without any 404 errors.

Any ideas as to what may be going on? What can I do to fix this issue?

As always your excellent support service and excellent product is greatly appreciated.

Looking forward to your response,

George Campos

Hello George,

This issue was fixed since Image Uploader Java 5.5. What version do you use on your site?

Hi Dimitry,

We use version 5.7.24.0 on our site.

Is there a newer version I should be using?

Looking forward to your response,

George Campos

Hello George,

We fixed the issue with 404 errors with JRE 1.5 and 1.6. If you use one of these versions of Java, there should be no problem with it.

Your problem indicates that some of your customers use older versions of JRE. It can cause this issue because the requesting file is not included there. I suppose that it is not a big problem. If some if your customers will have some troubles with uploading and the other Image Uploader functionality, please, let us know.

Sincerely yours,

Dmitry Sevostyanov
