Hello When viewing all the files on my desktop using the imageuploader control, the shortcut which i have created on my desktop does not get listed, instead i have to physically navigate to the folder. Is there a setting which will enable me to view shortcuts? Im using ActiveX version 5.1.10.0 Cheers Clay

Could you please descride how to reproduce your problem step by step. I am not sure that undrestend you right. |

Sorry for being so vague, here is my problem step by step: 1) I have created a shortcut on my desktop that points to a folder on my c: drive. 2) I use aurgima image uploader in a website to upload files to the server. 3) When I open the website and start the process of uploading files to the server, the ActiveX control loads with a file listing on the left with 'Desktop' as the parent and 'My Document', 'My Pictures', 'My Computer', 'My Network Places', 'Recycle Bin' as children. 4) When i click on the Desktop icon of the ActiveX control i should see the shortcut that i created (in step 1) of my pc's desktop but i dont. 5) I have filtered the following file types from the display, *.jpg;*.png;*.bmp;*.tif;*.gif;*.pdf Why does the shortcut i have created on my desktop not show in the ActiveX control listing?

Hi, It is a normal behaviour. My Documents, My Pictures etc. are system folders. They are always visible. But your shortcut never been visible in this list. |

Hi Tamila Just to clarify, the Image uploader is unable to show any shortcut to a folder no matter where this shortcut it is placed? I have created a shortcut on the root of my c: drive and i am still unable to see it, i have a created a normal folder on the root of my c: drive as well and i am able to see it in the listing. Hello Clay, Tamila is right. Unfortunately shortcuts are not resolved by Image Uploader, so you cannot navigate to some folder using a shortcut. We experimented with this feature but did not get the acceptable result because shortcuts caused the perofromance issue during file listing. |
