Hello. Is there any way to modify header sent by aurigma image uploader? Problem is aurigma fails apache server authorization if it's required. Thanks for help. Edited by user Wednesday, January 28, 2009 8:13:55 PM(UTC)

Hello, As far as I understand you use basic authentication on your server. If so you need to download the latest Image Uploader 5.7.24 and enable authentication support using ImageUploader.AuthenticationType property: Code:
iu.addParam("AuthenticationType", "basic");

It works. Thank you! I would even say "blagodaryu" basing on your name, Dmitry. Edited by user Thursday, January 29, 2009 11:13:33 PM(UTC)

Hello, I do not know why but my posts and your responses were deleted.
I would like to include in the page a login a and a password. Something like : iu.addParam("AuthenticationLogin", "yoyo"); and iu.addParam("AuthenticationPassword", "indeed");
Is it possible ? From a security point of view, that solution would be fine for me because only authenticated users have access to that page and they all use the same credentials.
Thx,
Julien

Hello Julien, The ability to store login/password in the script is not safe because everybody can see it in the page source. Nevertheless we plan to add the feature to ask users to enter login credentials once and then use them while uploading the other packages. Edited by user Wednesday, February 18, 2009 5:52:49 PM(UTC)

Hello Julien, Unfortunately this functionality is not supported now and we will not include it into standard version of Image Uploader due to security reasons. PS: Why do not you allow anonymous access to your site? Basically if you include credentials into the script you get the same situation as anonymous login. Hello Dmitry, Thank you for your answer. But no, this is not the same situation as anonymous login. Indeed, with the credentials in the script, only authenticated users would be allowed to get the script. I will try to find another way. Sincerely, Julien

Hello, I did not find another solution. Users have to enter several times (sometimes 15 times) their login & passwd. This is very annoying.
When do you plan the next release of Image Uploader ? With it, users would write it only once per upload, correct ?
The real solution would be zero. Indeed users already provided their credentials to the browser. Still no way to get the credentials from the browser ?
Thanks,
Julien

Hello Julien, Image Uploader Java 6 will ask users to enter credentials once. Unfortunately there is no way to integrate Image Uploader and browser closer and get credentials from there. If you really need the feature to specify login/password from the script we are ready to implement it as custom feature for you. If you are interested in, please, contact our sales team at sales@aurigma.com for details on pricing. Edited by user Friday, April 3, 2009 10:41:15 PM(UTC)

Hello Julien,
Unfortunately we are late with release 6.0. It will be available in 3-4 weeks. |
