Been trying to get the Upload Photo tool to work on Ancestry.com using IE7 browser have not been successful, Seems to work with Firefox Browser. In my Downloaded Progarams folder I have the status of unknown for the ActiveX and file version 0.0.0.1 although if you download the file from the website. Can't seem to update this file. In the Mangage Addons in IE7 I see the ImageUploader4.ocx is enabled. But when you access the ancestry.com website and try to do an uploaded using the activex or Addon it doesn't seem to work. Trying figure out with the status being unknown how do i get to show installed in the downloaded program files folder. I tried the ImageUploader5.ocx with the Demo and it works great with IE7. Hello, Image Uploader ActiveX 4.5 installed on your site was disabled by Microsoft security update KB953839 due to security reasons. To solve this problem you need to download and install new safe version of Image Uploader. Please, read Andrew's post PRB: Image Uploader ActiveX does not load after security update KB953839 that will help you to update the upload component.
