Hi,
we would like to deploy a web page on our web site where there are few controlls about the jvm and ImageUploader (Activex and Jar version).
Actually we have made the page to check if the JVM is installed. Now we are trying to find a good solition to check if the ImageUploader is installer or not. If it is not installed just force the installation.

Any ideas how to do it? We have found into the ImageUploaderWriter class the method: getActiveXInstalled just to check if it is installed. what about the jar version? How to force the install of the plugin without show any forms?

Thanks.
Diego

Hello,

Unfortunately there is no chance to check whether Image Uploader Java is installed or not. We know about this problem but JVM and browser does not allow this functionality.

Hello Diego,

If you mean that you want to disable warning panel in Internet Explorer and install Image Uploader is silent mode - unfortunately it is not supported by browser.

i don't want to disable warning message, we know that they are undisabled.
we mean to have a javascript call similar to the iu.writeHtml(); that just starts the install process but at the end shows just a text or icon without all the panels of the ImageUploader.

Thanks.
Diego
