Some of our customers complain that File Downloader stopped to work after they installed Microsoft security update KB953839. Probably you have already read the Andrew’s post PRB: Image Uploader ActiveX does not load after security update KB953839. I just want to add that this security advisory is related not to Image Uploader only.This update stoppes using of unsafe File Downloader builds also. Versions affectedIf you have version prior to 1.0.110 installed on your site it stops working after Microsoft update 953839 is installed on a computer. Safe versions: - Version 1.0.110 and later.
- Versions 2.x.
How to updateIf you use unsafe version of File Downloader, you can download version 1.0.110 from legacy downloads. License keys of 1.x version will work for it, so this is a free update. While upgrading to safe version, please, be sure that you update both iuembed.js and FileDownloader.cab files on your server. Edited by user Wednesday, August 20, 2008 2:09:48 AM(UTC)
