Aurigma announces next generation imaging SDK for .NET. Being rewritten from the ground it offers superiors features which was not available before in common imaging SDKs.

Unlike most competitors’ imaging .NET components, it has dependencies neither for ActiveX libraries nor for unmanaged DLL files. It is true .NET application which can be easily deployed using “xcopy” method.

It offers comprehensive possibilities for fast development of imaging application both for Windows and Web. A big number of samples which are having practical value will be supplied. Moreover, you will be able to purchase not only binary assembly, but also all source code – well debugged, commented and documented.

It support loading and saving images in most popular images including JPEG, BMP, TIFF, PDF and others. Such formats as JPEG 2000 and RAW are also in plans.

Aurigma Graphics Mill is first .NET component on the market which provides support of images with extended color depth for 16 bits per channel within standard edition (no additional modules are required). It also supports CMYK images both for 8 and 16 bits per channel modes, allowing performing high-quality pre-print processing. It is the single component on the market which allows manipulating CMYK images with alpha channel.

Aurigma Graphics Mill has similar object model to System.Drawing, so it means it will be easy to migrate to Aurigma Graphics Mill when you become unhappy with GDI+. Moreover, it offers great support of interoperability with System.Drawing: you can mix old GDI+-based code with new Graphics Mill-based one, so the migration can be done step-by-step. Besides, with Graphics Mill you get access to common some GDI functionality without tiresome importing of WinAPI function into your assembly. In particular it means that you can perform direct drawing on indexed and bi-tone images (unreachable in GDI+).

By default it provides over 50 filters and effects which create solid foundation for photo and document imaging.

Graphics Mill 3.0 is the first solution which provides true multithreading functionality. All main objects are thread-safe, all operations can be run in asynchronous mode. It enables you to create professional and reliable applications as easy as never before. Make user interface working as interactive as possible with new multithreading features of Graphics Mill 3.0.

A number of ready-to-use WinForms and WebForms controls written on C# are available. Source code is provided, so it is not a problem to extend functionality if necessary.

All customers of ActiveX component Graphics Mill 2.0 will get special upgrade discounts. Moreover, all new Graphics Mill 2.0 customers (who purchase it since 1st of July 2004) will get free upgrade to Graphics Mill 3.0 for .NET.

The approximate schedule of Graphics Mill 3.0 for .NET is the following:

• Beta 1 will be available in the beginning of July.

• Beta 2 will be available in the beginning of August.

• Final Release will be available in the end of August.

Sign up for beta testing today!

Best regards,
