We used Image Uploader 4.5 since yesterday (and 4.1 since 2006).

We have some problems since ever (and not corrected by 4.5) :

- We did some statistics on uploads and we found that COMPLETE status represent “only” 73%, ERROR 13% and CANCEL 14%. Have you the same return from other company who use your tools?
Because I find that 73% isn’t enough ;)
During uploads, I find that we have too frequently broken upload follow by a retry. How can we optimize the system to avoid broken upload and retries because I think some customer cancel their upload in this case?
With a picture modified by photoshop (for instance), i have more retry than for original one. Have you some explanations?
I try some other website who use Image Uploader, I have the same problem (Error after 2 retries 4.53Mb on 4.81).
My test picture :

- MAC users wait 8 minutes before the next retry of an upload. Do you know if it’s due to MAC OS, or to your Applet? (AutoRecoverTimeout is by Default set to 5000)
On windows (IE, FF), we don’t have this problem, next retry begin after few seconds.

Thanks A lot

Some details about the test procedure with the picture attached in the previous message
- Image Uploader version : 4.5 (Java)
- OS : Windows and MAC OS X
- Browsers tested : Firefox and Safari (probably IE using the java applet but not tested yet)
- The problem occured each time we tried to upload the previous picture.
- Interesting tests :
* when the picture is saved with another software (image recompressed), the upload is successful.
* using jhead, we removed the APP marker from the picture (EXIF+thumbnail), the upload still failed but not with a 100% rate.
* Picture's size is not an issue ...
- With sample on local : upload is working fine
* Apache:Apache/2.2.4 (Win32)
* PHP: 5.2.4
