Hello,

I was wondering if there is a recommended Java version for the Java Image Uploader client?

I am having a few issues with the Java option compared to the ActiveX version.

For example, selecting multiple files by clicking ‘Select All’ in the file pane takes quite a bit of time compared to the ActiveX version. Also, if the desktop is clicked to browse for files, the browser often freezes and I am forced to do the 3 finger salute to end the task. I am using version 4.5 of the Image Uploader and I have tried both Java 5 and Java 6 in IE6 and IE7. (Our site does not work with FireFox)

If anyone has any suggestions, I would really appreciate it.

Thank you for your time,

Jason

Hello Jason,

The minimum supported JRE version is 1.4.2_06. As for recommended version I think the newer version is better because the guys in Sun are always trying to make the next JRE faster and more reliable than the previous.

Sincerely yours,
