Hi everbody,

I have a problem with the new Image Uploader version (4.1).

The upload process freezes after 15-25 images uploaded.

This problem only occurs with high-res pictures (I tested with 3800x2500 pixels JPG images, 5MB), and with more than 15-25 pictures.

I tested this with :

- IE7, WinXP (ActiveX)

- Firefox 2, WinXP (Java)

Is there an explanation ?

Thanks in advance for your help,

Aurapp

Yup, we got the same problem and find out after a zillion tests that the max rez is 3000px, you're files can be 10MB but under 3000px and it will work fine.

Also for your info, if you're running IIS6 on WIN2K3, max upload is 380 files, not very good for what we're trying to do. We are looking for an other option because the 3000px max rez & max 380 upload file limitation is a major problem for our present & upcoming projects. I think we can live with the max 3000px but the max upload is critical for us.

No news from moderators! http://www.aurigma.com/Forums/Topic6146-12-1.aspx

Good luck

thanks for your answer, but that's a strange thing because before updating to image uploader 4.1, we were using version 3.5, and everything worked fine ! hundreds of pictures (much more than 380 !!!), and any resolution, more than 3000px !

so, if there is no answer, no solution, I think I will have to downgrade to version 3.5...

moderators ? any help or suggestion ?

Thanks :-)

Hello,

Here is a list of differences: What's New?.

As about freezes, try to use our ExtractFiles sample script to check of the reason of the problem is in your upload processing script or in the server restrictions.

Hello,

I'm sorry but the problem is still here, even with your extract script.

I send you my testing URL by private message if you can test it...

Thanks for your help,

Regards,

Aurapp

Hello,

I have successfully uploaded 400 files (400 Mb total) to your site. Could you send the information about your JRE version number and Java Console dump of the problem? In case of freezes you could make a screenshot of the Java console.

You could try setting different values of UploadThumbnailNNResizeQuality (where NN is thumbnail index) to “High” and “Medium”. There will be a new feature in image Uploader Dual 4.5 which will allow the original file addition instead of system icon in case of no thumbnail available. Also we are going to rewrite thumbnail generation classes in Image Uploader Dual 5.0 and this new version will be available this summer.
Sincerely yours,
