ImageUploader 4.1 ActiveX uploading to Secure Server

Hello, Our development environment uses a self-signed certificate for SSL testing. ImageUploader 4.0 had no problems uploading to this server via ActiveX, but when I upgraded to 4.1 I no longer can. The Java applet uploads just fine against the self-signed certificate. Has anyone else encountered this problem? Thanks! Shane Hunziker AutoTrader.com

Hello, We have implemented the alternative variant of upload in 4.1 which is probably the reason of your problem. Could you give the direct link (may be as a PM) for us to test and fix the problem? |

Unfortunately our development environment is not accessible outside of our network. I'm confident we won't have this problem in production as we do have valid signed certificates there. However, this issue is preventing us from adequate testing in our development environment. Is there anything else which I could provide you which might be helpful? Thanks, Shane

Hello Shane, So you mean you have no problems while using 'valid signed certificates'? What is the difference between certificates on your production and development sites? |

Well, I don't know for certain that it would work in production. We haven't gone live with this yet. It was my suspicion that it would work because we have actual Verisign certificates there which we bought. The ones we use in development are self-signed, and that's what I assumed the problem to be. When I upload without SSL it works just fine. It's only when I attempt to upload with SSL that I see the problem (again, only with the ActiveX control). If you set up a scenario with a self-signed certificate, I would think you would see the same issue. Shane
