I have a IE7 user with no Java installed. The uploader is trying to install ActiveX instead of Java. Is it something in our configuration? is it an Aurigma bug? Our license is Java only.

Any help would be great.

Thanks,

Yuval

Have you added in your embedding script:

Code:
iu.activeXControlEnabled = true;

Fedor,

Thanks for the fast response. Does it need to be true or false? Note that we have a Java-only license.

I am sorry, it should be false. In this case the code for Java applet not for ActiveX control will be generated in IE.

Yes, we do have this line. Anything else to check?

Could you post the URL of your page or its entire code?

OK we solved the user's problem:

1) The user got the message "Click here to install the following ActiveX Control: jinstall-1_4-windows-1586". The ActiveX message confused me but the installation was actually for Java.

2) The other confusing thing was that the upload did not work in spite of the fact that there was probably some Java installation on the computer. The Install did not work until we selected the "remove" option first.

Thanks,

Yuval
