Hello... we've got a tester using the newest Leopard release (10.5?). When he uploads larger files (using both Firefox or Safari) the thumbnail generation fails and the server gets icon files instead. For small files, the thumbnails generate fine. The symptoms are the same as this thread here: http://forums.aurigma.co...generation-problems.aspxWe were using an earlier 5.0 revision of the Uploader with no problems. We only upgraded because of the killbit/security issue. I know that the solution to this problem is to upload the source image if the thumnails fail but that kinda negates the bandwidth saving purpose of using this software. Two options: 1. Is there an older version with an active CLSID that is known to work with Macs? We could use that one for the time being (our site is still in development). 2. Is there a schedule for fixing this bug in the current version (we could wait a few weeks on this fix but our Mac testers would be annoyed). Any advice appreciated, - Jordan Edited by user Sunday, April 6, 2008 1:54:15 PM(UTC)

Hello Jordan,
Actually the security issue was about ActiveX version only. Thus you could still use previous version of Image Uploader for Java if the new one makes some trouble for you. Also you could try to get the very last version of Image Uploader (5.1.10.0) and check if the problem if fixed there. We have improved reflection class creation there thus it could work better. This version will be available to be downloaded from our site shortly. |
