Some of our Windows clients complain that thumbnail generation and "Preparing Data" was exceedingly slow when uploading a large number of JPEGs. Turns out that the problem PCs had Photoshop installed (many of our customers do). If Photoshop is installed, the Properities window for a JPG has a tab >. If Generate Thumbnails is selected, apparently Photoshop rather than Windows generates thumbnails, and very slowly. Deselect Generate Thumbnails, and Image Uploader Preparing Data will speed up markedly.

Hello, Thank you ror the report. I have added this information to our bug tracking system and we will try to find the workaround for this case. There should be some possibility to avoid getting thumbnails via any add-ons instead of operating system itself. |
