I downloaded and set up ImageUploader 4.5 dual on a web server. I created an uploader page that works fine when I load it with IE7.0 on windows XP. When I load it with IE 7.0 on Vista though, instead of the ActiveX object loading, I get the following text in place of it:
"Image Uploader ActiveX control is necessary to upload your files quickly and easily. You will be able to select multiple images in user-friendly interface instead of clumsy input fields with Browse button. Installation will take up to few minutes, please be patient. To install Image Uploader, please reload the page and click the "Yes" button when you see the control installation dialog."
There is no option to download a file or install any ActiveX control however. The control doesn't try to load at all.
I know it's not a problem with a wrong path to the JS or CAB files because, like I said, it works fine on IE7 with XP, just not with Vista.
I have it set up to use the Java Applet version with FireFox. I have a similar problem with Firefox. It works fine with XP. However with vista, the bottom status bar reads "Loading Java Applet Failed..." and the applet shows just a red X.

Hello Brian, Try to check Vista IE 7.0 security options and run Firefox as an administrator, maybe it’ll help. And also we need: 1. Java console dump from Vista. 2. Direct link to your site. Edited by user Monday, February 25, 2008 4:16:30 PM(UTC)

http://64.78.13.192/4RIVERSTEST1/login.aspxID: 100061 PW: brain@77 Once redirected, Click on UPLOAD PHOTOS and hit any link. This will open up a new window with the ImageUploader built in. WIth firefox and IE on XP, it's fine. With Firefox and IE in Vista... no dice: Java fails to initialize for FF and I just get the aforementioned text with IE. The styles may be a little weird with FF, so you may have to copy the URL to the image uploader page from IE and paste it into FF. You'll probably have to log in again. Here are the exact browser versions I'm using XP: * IE: 7.0.5730.11 * FF: 2.0.0.6 Vista: * IE: 7.0.6.000.16473 * FF: 2.0.0.6 With IE in Vista, I've loosened my security settings as much as I could and still have the same problem. If you can't reproduce the error, I've uploaded a screen shot here: http://www.bulala.com/uploader.gifThe javascript console dump shows: Code:load: class com.aurigma.imageuploader.ImageUploader.class not found.
java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: com.aurigma.imageuploader.ImageUploader.class
