I want to resize the image prior to upload, but still create a thumbnail.

For example, the primary image needs to be resized to 800x600 but I also need a 101x76 corresponding thumbnail.

The only way to resize prior to upload (that I can see) is to use the thumbnail and not upload the main image.
So then I'll have to create my own thumbnail on the server (from the "thumbnail" that aurigma uploaded).

Am I missing something? Resize settings/options for main image seems like it would be rudimentary.

ok, I figured out how to do it :-)

I looked at the "optimized" example code.
You're essentially creating TWO thumbnails (at least, based on the naming convention).

But hey, it works.
