Hi, We are currently upgrading our system from version 3.5 however I am having problems which seems to be from my IE browser only. I am running Windows XP and IE version 6 with SP2 installed. When I go to our page where we have installed the updated script and ALSO your demo page on your site I am getting this notification: Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library Runtime Error! Program: C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe The application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the application support team for more information At the bottom is an OK button. When I click it – it shuts down my browsers. No-one else seems to be experiencing this problem. The old version 3.5 is working fine. Any help would be appreciated.

Hello, We are using the same configuration but there was no such a problem. I need any additional information that you have about this problem. What explicit Image Uploader version do you use? Does your problem appear even while using the standard samples? What are the differences of you machine/software configuration from another working ones? |

I had the exact same problem... even if I tried to go to Aurigma's demo page ( http://www.aurigma.com/Products...nlineDemo.aspx#BasicDemo), IE would just crash on me. Using image uploader 2.5 works fine though. I'm on windowXP with IE 6.0 SP2. What I had to do to fix this problem was: remove all version of Image Uploader from my machine; apply all Microsoft Windows update (there were a few updates); restart the computer. Now I can access the image uploader 4.0 demo page without problem. It just worries me that, if we switch to 4.0 other users will have this problem, whereas 2.5 seems to work regardless. I have a similar problem. When I try to run the ImageUploader on our development server, IE freezes. If I don't kill the process quickly enough, the development server crashes. This behaviour is the same if I try to run the demo pages on your web site. I don't experience this problem if I run the demo site or the demo project from my local computer.

Hi, I too am experiencing the same problem. Has there been a resolution for this error yet? As soon as this is resolved I will be purchasing some licensing... I am running IE Version 6.0.2900.2180.xpsp_sp2_gdr.050301-1519 Also, I am upgrading from version ImageUploader3.cab##version=3,0,825,0 I would also like to add that I was trying this code below: Code:<script type="text/javascript" src="iuembed.js"></script>
<script type="text/javascript">
var iu = new ImageUploaderWriter("ImageUploader1", 610, 500);
iu.writeHtml();
</script>
I've noticed if I do not use the iuembed.js and just replace the codebase attribute in the object tag to ImageUploader4.cab it works fine. Thanks, Bryan Edited by user Monday, February 25, 2008 5:12:56 PM(UTC)

Hello, Just installed the 4.0.47.0 version on our server and am having same problems as above. Tried the BasicDemo and Concurrent demo with IE 6.0 and Win 2000 Pro. I know this is old but we can't expect users to upgrade to use this thing. Any new word on this problem? Thanks, Justin

Hello, Don’t forget to specify the explicit version of Image Uploader correctly in your code if you want the old version of Image Uploader to be replaced with the last one. It is not enough to replace the .cab or .jar file only. |

Alex, Could you please address the runtime error problems. I'm getting these using your demos. We want to upgrade to the newest version but we can't if it crashes IE. Justin

Hello, To check the new version of Image Uploader (where the Runtime Error problem has been solved) you will have to download it from our site and make sure that you have successfully updated to the last version. Here is the link about Updating Image Uploader on the Client Side. Edited by user Monday, October 27, 2008 7:54:50 PM(UTC)

Hi - is 8/21/06 the latest version? That's what I downloaded and I'm still getting the runtime errors. Justin And just to be clear I downloaded the package on 9/8 from your site. I unpacked it on our server. I updated the pathnames in the setup javascript code to point to the directory where the cab and jar files are. I tried the basic demo and concurrent demo in ie 6 on both windows 2000 pro and Win XP Professional 2002. Get immediate runtime error and IE crashes.

Did I miss something or is there a resolution to this problem? I tried the Basic upload on your demo page and I am having the same issue with images from a disc. I'm using IE7.0.5730.11 on Windows XP SP3. If I try loading more than one jpg image into the box at a time using the Files button, I get the runtime error mentioned here. This is before actual uploading. However, if I load the files with the Folder button, everything runs fine. This post is three years old, so I was hoping something had been done to resolve this.
