Hello,

We have implemented most features of Image Uploader Java Edition. Here is its screenshot with Mozilla Firefox browser:

Now we are working over testing and getting native look and feel on Mac OS and Linux (Gnome) platforms.

The ETA for beta version is 20th November, and final version should be available within several weeks after it.

That is great NEWS!!! Java version almost ready!

I have a couple of questions about the Java version:

1. Is it going to be possible to Making Image Uploader Looking Like File Open Dialog with this Java Version?

2. Is it going to have all the features of Image Uploader 2.5?

3. Is it going to have the Rotation feature with thumbnail preview?

4. The implementation is going to be the same as the ActiveX version (by parameters)?

Thanks!

1. Is it going to be possible to Making Image Uploader Looking Like File Open Dialog with this Java Version?

Yes, but I think not with first release.

2. Is it going to have all the features of Image Uploader 2.5?

3. Is it going to have the Rotation feature with thumbnail preview?

Yes, it will have most features of 2.5-3.0 versions, but it is possible that rotation support willn't be included in first release.

4. The implementation is going to be the same as the ActiveX version (by parameters)?

Yes, API and behaviour of Java version will be almost the same as ActiveX one, so you will have to make minimum changes in your client code. Posting data to server by Java and Activex versions will be totally the same, so there will be no need to change server code.

Thanks for your response. Please try to include the Rotation tool in your first realease it is very important for us and we're sure for many others.

Something else, we are planning to use the java version with MAC users, so How many Pane Layout Modes this java version will have?

Thanks for your great support!

Yes, we will try.

First release will have three panes layout at least. Next release will have implemented all other layouts.

Hello Stefan,

We still work over Java version, but haven't released public beta version yet.

Java version is feature completed, but it takes us more then we planned to test it on different browser and platfrom configurations. We plan to release public beta version in the end of next week, and final version will be available close to Christmas.

Best regards,

Fedor Skvortsov
