We are considering upgrading to v8 from v5. Does v8 resolve the Mac Drag & Drop problem addressed in your forum post "INFO: Image Uploader & Mac OSX 10.7 (Lion)"?

Hello Freds,
Drag-n-drop functionality still doesn't work because of Java applet implementation on Mac which doesn't support drag-n-drop and unfortunately we can do nothing about it.
Anyway we highly recommend you to update. The 5x version was discontinued long time ago and you cannot be sure that it's compatible with all the latest versions of browsers and operating systems. So if you want to be sure that the Uploader works fine with Windows 8, Mac OS X Mountain Lion, Java 1.7, new Chrome/Safari/IE, etc, it is highly recommended to have version 8.
If you're interested, please let me know and I'll give your further instuctions on how to update. |
