http://www.aurigma.com/d...geUploaderFlash_Type.htm

Docs say setType('html')

* html the HTML5 control is used; if the browser does not support HTML5 the message appears

Not sure what "THE" message is, but I get no message. Instead the flash uploader renders, which to me means "html" is the same as "html|flash"

So where is the bug? In the program or the docs?

I am on Version: 8.0.28

... and the problem is even worse - for me, anyway.

Any ideas why flash loads instead of HTML5 on IE9, Safari 5, FF14 with either of these settings?
$uploader->setType("html|flash");

$uploader->setType("html");

My bad - I was not executing $uploader->setType("html"); in my conditional.
setType was not exectuting.
However, it seems to indicate that FLASH is the default - NOT html5.

Hello jmarcv,

Default value for type property is "flash|html".

It means that Upload Suite displays either Flash or HTML5 uploader. For example, Chrome is very good for HTML5, that's why we prefer to use it over Flash there, but IE and Safari have quite poor HTML5 support, that's why Flash is loaded there.

Also, you can see HTML5/Flash Uploader supported browsers list here: http://www.aurigma.com/d...fore-you-started-iuf.htm

Well, your docs say:
"Default value is "html|flash"."

... and the docs say the first specified is the default, where you are seeming to say it is browser dependant which is the default.

" Chrome is very good for HTML5, that's why we prefer to use it over Flash there,"

so why is it that when I use "html|flash" Chrome loads flash?
If I use 'html' alone I will get html5

Hello jmarcv,

I have tried to test ImageUploaderFlash control with ASP.NET on Google Chrome Version 24.0.1312.52 m. It works fine.
Tell me please which wrapper (javaScript/PHP/ASP.NET) do you use so I can test it?

See above where I say I set using
$uploader->setType("html")
.... which means it is the PHP wrapper ;-}

Hi!
We're having the same problem with Chrome (on Windows and MacOS, lastest versions).
In our case, it is wrapped by ASP.NET.
When we choose "html|flash" they load only flash. When we change to "html", it loads HTML5 but pops up a "thumbnail" problem.

Firefox and IE working fine.

Thanks.
