Hello, I have just purchased the Photo Kiosk 7.0 software after trial running it perfectly on a private computer..

I have now got a dedicated computer that I have set up for this purpose, installed the software, purchased a licence for it and finally making the settings how I want them. (Just printing options)

I have a HP Laser printer, When I do a test run of the machine the printer prints off the receipt, then proceeds to print a blank page for each photo I have selected to print. (so no photo)

To test if it was the printer, I went back into XP and printed off the same photo with Windows Live Photo Viewer. (worked fine)

I have tried changing a few settings in Photo Kiosk and now I cant print anything. It keeps saying there is a problem please contact the Kiosk Operator.

Please advise as I have been at this for over a week now and I need it working.

Hello Paul,

I attached XPS file to this post. Please download it and test whether your printer can print this file. The fact is that Photo Kiosk prepares XPS files to print photos. Some printers do not support printing XPS.

File Attachment(s):
Test.zip (8,424kb) downloaded 29 time(s).

Okay I have an update as well.

I have tested out the XPS file you sent me on two printers, both printed out the picture of the children's hospital donation okay(it was mirrored for some reason on the print out though)

Am I right in assuming you open XPS files with Internet Explorer?

Either way both printers worked with that.

Now I have my own update, the computer with the photo kiosk software is died. One of my staff members knocked it off the shelf and the hard drive doesn't boot. So I will be replacing it in a day or two. Is it possible to cancel the licence on that computer and create a new licence on a different computer?

(this is just a minor set-back)

Who knows, Installing the software on a different computer might even clear up any problems. *fingers crossed*

I will get back to you in a few days with another update, working or not.

Hi again.

I've got another computer set up and ready to go.

I have installed the photo kiosk 7.0.3 software configured and tested, Brilliant,

Works perfect and printed out my test photos without a problem.

One last thing I need to sort out before I can go live with it.

My licence key was installed on the dead computer and the code wont work on the new computer. Could I deactivate my licence and register the new one?

Thanks in advance.

Please can you tell me if this is possible?

As I have spent my money on this licence which is now obsolete and not working.

I need PhotoKiosk working as I can't expect my customers to only have 5 prints each.

d'oh!

Please create a support ticket and request a new license key. We need "Activation Code" of Photo Kiosk installed on your new machine (see the attached file).

Okay, The licence is sorted. However I now have a new problem

All I have done is registered the new licence in the config tool then after opening up the Kiosk Software I get

"Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation" error, Then the Software closes and doesn't opening.

Doing a google search I have found that this error normally happens with Microsoft Office, Or programming code.

Do you have any advice?
