Hello all,

i'm trying to get the ImageUploader working and have problems with the activeX version. even with the demos here, so i think it has anything to do with my setup.

there dont ever appears a prompt or information bar or anything which says me, that i have to setup the ImageLoader activex and how. in non version of ie (tested on ie6 and 7). first i thought that my security setting are to tight but even now with the lowest setting nothing happens.

had anyone the same problem? am i blind?
thank you.

oh and please ignore my bad english language skills ^^;

Hello,

It seems you have some problem with installation of Image Uploader on your page. Please, walk through the steps described in the Inserting Image Uploader into Web Page article and let me know about the progress.

Hello,

I just tried to launch samples in IE, it is working now. Could you tell me what exact samples are not working on your machine?
Sincerely yours,

Hello Dmitry,

now i tried following demos in IE7:

Basic Demo
User Quota
Optimized Upload
Photo Order
Localization
Concurrent Upload
Open File Dialog
Multiple Descriptions
Robust Upload
Watermark

Each time i get asked, if i want to allow active x. I click yes. The Popup disappears and nothing else happens. On the screen i get this text:

"Image Uploader ActiveX control is necessary to upload your files quickly and easily. You will be able to select multipl images in user-friendly interface instead of clumsy input fields with Browse button. Installation will take up to few minutes, please be patient. To install Image Uploader, please click on the Information Bar and select Install ActiveX Control from the dropdown menu. After page reload click Install when you see the control installation dialog.
"

... but there is no Information Bar or anything else.

Hello,

Please, check security settings in Internet Explorer, it seems you have ActiveX controls disabled there.
Sincerely yours,

Hello,

Please, try to remove Image Uploader from your machine (if you have it installed, of course) as described in the Updating Image Uploader on the Client Side article.

If it does not help, could you make screenshot of your security settings in IE and attach to this post?
Sincerely yours,
Dmitry Sevostyanov
